KE Andrews engaged RO to build a next-generation, four-story headquarters for the 40-year-old, family-owned tax advisory firm. The 80,000 SF Texas Modern building sits on a dramatically sloping, heavily wooded site overlooking Lake Ray Hubbard, with terraces on every level so employees and visitors never lose the view. A south-facing glass atrium opens into a bright, expansive lobby. The 20,000 SF ground level, partially embedded into the slope, holds a communal break room and lounge areas, and the gym and locker rooms give the team a place to recharge.

A steel frame with concrete decking, paired with stone and curtain wall veneer, settles the building into the landscape. The scope also included new parking lots and a new city street, making this landmark headquarters easy to reach from day one.
