Dripping Springs ISD Elementary & Middle School Renovation

Selected as Construction Manager at-Risk in late 2023, Rogers-O’Brien delivered the work across two consecutive summer construction windows to refresh aging spaces, expand instructional capacity, and align the campuses with the District’s vision for 21st-century learning.

The scope spanned classroom renovations, fully reimagined administrative and front-of-house areas, upgraded common spaces, and significant building system improvements, executed inside existing occupied schools serving thousands of students and staff. Work included reconfiguring learning environments to support more collaborative, flexible instruction; modernizing safety, security, and technology infrastructure; and updating finishes throughout to give long-loved campuses a fresh, contemporary feel without losing the community character that defines Dripping Springs.

Renovating live, operating schools to a hard “first day of class” deadline left no room in the schedule for surprises. The team leaned heavily on early planning, 3D laser scanning of existing conditions, and rigorous summer shutdown logistics to keep pace, sequencing trade partners through tight workspaces and coordinating closely with District leadership, principals, and facilities staff throughout. Both campuses opened on time for their respective school years, ready to welcome students back into transformed learning environments.
