From site retaining walls through full data center fit-up in 8.5 months, CyrusOne Building No. 2 came together as a 188,600 SF tilt-wall and precast structure housing a single Fortune 100 client with 18 MW of critical load. The aggressive 6.5-month construction schedule covered the ground-up data center and offices, significant site retaining walls, sitework for an additional building, tilt-wall construction, and a two-story data hall finish-out. The team finished on time after four months of 24-hour construction.

The two-story building includes 16 2.25 MW generators, 48 750 KW UPSs, 96 600A STS/PDUs, 16 425-ton roof-mounted chillers, and 48 6,000 cfm CRAH units. To protect an adjacent residential neighborhood and two utility yards, 30-foot-tall sound barrier walls run the entire west side using poured-in-place concrete, tilt panels, and precast at various building areas, keeping the project within sound ordinance levels.
