Texas Health Rockwall Renovation

Texas Health Presbyterian Rockwall Renovation expanded and modernized the Rockwall hospital campus with a 90,500 SF addition and a 52,000 SF interior renovation, all completed while the facility remained at full operating capacity. The work included a vertical expansion that transformed a two-story bed tower into a four-story patient unit, plus a new central utility plant, an enlarged Emergency Department, additional Operating Room suites, a new pharmacy, and refreshed dining areas. The new floors brought a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a cardiac catheterization lab, expanded labor and delivery and postpartum rooms, additional ICU beds, and a new interventional radiology suite. The team renovated the main lobby, kitchen, labs, and a range of existing OR, ER, patient and treatment spaces, with phasing carefully sequenced around live clinical operations. RO leaned on laser scanning, spatial coordination, and Procore-based collaboration to keep the work tight, earning a TEXO Distinguished Building Award and the Procore Groundbreaker Excellence in Innovation Award.
