Children’s Bereavement Center Uvalde

The Children’s Bereavement Center (CBC) of South Texas in Uvalde stands as a place of peace and healing for families affected by gun violence. RO renovated a small one-story office building donated by a local church into a space that supports that mission. The exterior carries a custom mural with the company name and logo, a hardwood awning across the facade, a small parking area, and a covered back patio. Inside, a welcoming lobby pairs unique art and custom millwork with a mix of working and therapy spaces.

A decades-old building and a donation-driven scope brought real complexity around coordination, labor, schedule, and materials. Extensive pre-planning before demolition weighed every option to find the schedule that would deliver on time and within budget. The community deserved nothing less.
