Independent Financial Headquarters

Independent Financial Corporate Headquarters is a 160,000 SF, six-story home base on a 10.4-acre site within McKinney’s Craig Ranch Business Park. The building suits the way Independent’s teams work and expect to grow, with large 25,000 to 27,000 SF floor plates that flex to fit modern workgroup layouts. A four-story parking garage serves the campus, the first phase of a planned 400,000 SF footprint that could eventually house up to 1,200 employees.

The project introduced two firsts to the City of McKinney: Dynamic View Glass, which optimizes natural light while cutting energy use, and a Fireman Air Rescue System that improves safety for first responders. Energy metering throughout the building rounds out a sustainability strategy focused on reducing energy and water consumption while maintaining high indoor air quality.
