Across two phases at the Met Center campus in Austin, Rogers-O’Brien has delivered more than 152,000 SF of highly technical lab and office space for AMD, a combined construction value of more than $219 million. Phase 1 was a fast-paced, 73,000 SF first-generation tenant improvement featuring state-of-the-art dedicated lab spaces to support AMD’s Artificial Intelligence R&D Department. Proactive planning early in the project, paired with creative solutions during construction, delivered high cost and schedule savings for AMD.

Phase 2 expands on that foundation with a 79,600 SF first-generation mission critical lab and office space build-out. Scope includes a new Central Utility Plant housing five chillers and five cooling towers, interior and exterior electrical duct banks, 12 rooftop air handling units, and 31 megawatts of power the kind of technical complexity and infrastructure that supports AMD’s growing research operations.
