TSTC Waco Construction Technologies Center

The new 129,100 SF Career & Technical Education building at Texas State Technical College’s Waco campus serves as a hands-on training hub for students pursuing careers in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, solar, and other construction-related trades. Built to support TSTC’s Performance-Based Education model, the facility is designed to immerse students in real-world learning from day one.

Constructed with tilt-wall concrete panels, structural steel framing, and expansive glazing systems, the building includes instructional labs, student collaboration spaces, faculty offices, and breakrooms. Surface parking and pedestrian pathways seamlessly connect the facility to the broader campus, while exposed piping, conduit, and building systems within the labs transform the structure itself into a teaching tool. The project carries special significance for RO, as several members of the project team are TSTC graduates, part of a growing group of alumni now building their careers with the company.
