Baylor Law School Renovation

Rogers-O’Brien renovated 34,000 square feet of the Baylor University Law School in Waco, our first project with the university.

The work spanned multiple occupied levels and updated general office and administrative space, the kitchen, and building security systems. The team also reconfigured the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/F) systems to modernize the building’s core infrastructure. Relocating the library’s high-density compact shelving took the most planning; the system was moved and reset with the collection intact and structural loading accounted for throughout. New finishes and custom millwork were fabricated to match the existing design so the updates read as original to the space.

The result is a higher education renovation that updates how the building performs while preserving the character the Law School is known for.
