CyrusOne (Building 2)

CyrusOne (Building 2)

San Antonio, Texas

Architect: Corgan Associates

Owner: CyrusOne

This tilt-wall and precast structure houses a single tenant (Fortune 100 client) with 18 MW of critical load, totaling 188,617 SF. With a 7 1/2-month schedule, this ground-up project was completed on time from start to a fully commissioned data center with four months of around-the-clock construction.

This two-story building includes:

  • 16 – 2.25-MW generators
  • 48 – 750-kW UPSs
  • 96 – 600A STS/PDUs
  • 16 – 425-ton roof-mounted chillers
  • 48 – 6,000 CFM CRAC units

To reduce noise to an adjacent residential neighborhood and two separate utility yards, 30-foot-tall sound barrier walls were installed on the entire west side of the project site. These walls consisted of poured-in-place concrete, tilt panels and precast at various areas of the building to remain within the sound ordinance levels.
