GET TO KNOW AUSTIN ROBERTSON

Austin Robertson joined RO as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in late 2019. He comes from another general contractor in the Austin, Texas market, bringing with him a wealth of industry-related knowledge. 

The big city life of Dallas is a stark contrast from Robertson’s hometown of Wink, Texas. Located in west Texas, the small town is slightly southwest of Odessa, and its population averages at around 1,000. Growing up, the Robertsons owned a grocery store, which he says provided for his family for the past 37 years. After nearly four decades, his family has put the store and meat market up for sale, as his parents look to retire and enjoy the slower-paced life that west Texas has to offer. 

After high school, Lubbock, Texas became home, as Robertson headed off to Texas Tech University for college. It was there that he majored in Business Administration, with a focus in Finance.  Post-grad, he moved to Dallas for five years before moving to Abilene and then Austin. He recently joined the RO family, which brought him back to DFW.  

Since coming aboard at RO, we have noted his genuine, down-to-earth demeanor, and his desire to understand and get to know the company, its people and its processes. In his free time, you can find him hunting or watching a Chicago Bears game with his wife, Whitney, and their three children, Alexandra, Amelia and Archer.
