Magnolia Montessori For All

The new 46,000 SF Magnolia Montessori For All campus represents a major milestone for a public charter school committed to making exceptional Montessori education accessible to every child. After years of operating from leased modular facilities, the organization now has a permanent home purpose-built to support its mission and the growing community it serves.

Set on a 9-acre campus along Pecan Brook in East Austin, the new school was built to extend access to high-quality Montessori education in a community that had long lacked it. Every design and construction decision was made through that lens. Light-filled classrooms open to landscaped courtyards and learning gardens, shared community spaces foster collaboration across age groups, and durable, child-scaled materials create environments that feel both warm and rigorous. Outdoor learning areas, a community gathering hall, and flexible support spaces extend the campus’s role beyond a school into a true neighborhood anchor.

Delivered as a lump-sum project through a sole-source selection, Rogers-O’Brien led the work from sitework through finishes, partnering closely with Montessori For All’s leadership and its philanthropic supporters to honor the program’s mission and stretch every dollar of a non-profit budget. The completed campus has since been widely recognized as a model for charter school design and for what is possible when a builder, an architect, and an educator share a commitment to equity in education.
