LCPL Nicholas S. Perez Elementary School is a new 81,000 s.f. one-story, steel framed building with split face cmu and brick facade.  The school contains 32-classrooms, library, cafeteria and a gymnasium.  The project included the extension of South Pleasant Valley Road 420 feet for site access.  The building received a two-star Green Building rating with the City of Austin by implementing native landscape, day lighting, energy efficient equipment, resource efficiency, commissioning, water quality/water saving measures and treatment of glazing with tints.  This project was the recipient of both the ABC Excellence in Construction Merit Award and the AGC Outstanding Construction Award.
